The engineering discipline forms the connection between science and technology and their applications. In line with the nations aspiration to become an industrialized nation, therefore it is crucial that the field of engineering be developed to ensure perpetual industrial and economic growth. An increasing number of engineers are needed to widen the technological base especially where new and emerging technologies are concerned.
The Faculty of Engineering has the mission to become a renowned and selected centre for engineering and related fields in order to meet the challenges of development and change, by providing quality education and research facilities, as well as offering expertise and excellent services.
The aim of the faculty is to ensure that all its activities are in line with the development and advancement of new and future technologies, relevant to the needs of our developing country and parallel to the enhancement of professionalism in the field.
